The Murrumbidgee CMA was established in January 2004 to ensure local people could have their say in natural resource management.

The Murrumbidgee CMA and its partners are ensuring the protection and sustainable development of the environment through on-ground projects relating to biodiversity, culture, land and water.

The Murrumbidgee Regional Landcare Awards, facilitated by the Murrumbidgee CMA in partnership with Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc., provide an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of the individuals and groups who are making a positive difference to natural resource management in our catchment.

Community participation in caring for the environment is essential in achieving a healthy and resilient Murrumbidgee catchment. The growing pressures of climate change and increasing demand for our natural resources means protecting our natural environment is more important than ever.
